Below you will find a checklist and links of things that you will need to know before you go to the Arizona Health & Physical Education State Convention.
Date: The State Convention is on Thursday, October 26th and Friday, October 27th
Honor and Recognition Awards: Wednesday, October 25th, 6 pm – 9 pm, Children’s Museum of Phoenix (Invitation Only)
Schedule: Plan the sessions that you’d like to attend before arriving. You are able to create your own schedule using the Sched website and App. https://2023azhpe.sched.com/ Don’t forget to check out the Coffee Talks (New this year!)
Location: We are back at the Phoenix Convention Center, West Building, between 2nd and 3rd Street, next to Symphony Hall. (Enter from 2nd or 3rd Street).
Getting to Downtown Phoenix: Valley Metro (Click Here) Valley Metro operates the regional bus and light rail systems and alternative transportation programs for commuters, seniors, and people with disabilities.
Parking: We have again partnered with the Jefferson Street Garage (Click Here) Parking ($5) per day, no overnight parking. (3rd Street and Jefferson)
Attire: Come dressed to PLAY! It is always a good idea to have layers as it can get cool in the convention center when you are not moving around. Themed Days: Thoughtful Thursday- wear a shirt that has an encouraging quote or a positive message. Fan Friday- wear your favorite team shirt/outfit (Go Diamondbacks!)
Hotels: We have partnered with the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Downtown (Click Here) to provide the lowest rate possible starting at $219 per night.
