Arizona Health and Physical Education is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and equity-focused individual to serve as our next Adapted Physical Education (APE) Committee Chair!
This is an incredible opportunity to use your experience and passion for APE to help educators across Arizona provide meaningful, inclusive, and high-quality physical education opportunities for students with disabilities.
🌟 What Would You Do?
As the APE Committee Chair, you would help AZHPE:
📚 Develop APE Professional Development
Collaborating with our Best Practices Committee, identify and create opportunities for educators to learn more about adapted physical education, inclusion, accommodations, modifications, and effective instructional strategies.
💡 Share Resources & Ideas
Help provide teachers with practical resources, tools, strategies, and information they can use immediately in their programs.
🤝 Build Connections
Collaborate with schools, school districts, educators, and partner organizations to strengthen adapted physical education throughout Arizona.
🏫 Advocate for High-Quality APE
Help promote equitable access to meaningful physical education opportunities for students with disabilities.
👥 Build a Team
Recruit and lead volunteers who are passionate about adapted physical education and want to make a difference.
📣 Be a Voice for APE
Bring important APE issues, ideas, needs, and opportunities to the AZHPE Board of Directors.
