Hello Arizona Health and Physical Education Professionals,

After careful consideration regarding the health and safety of everyone that would be attending, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the 2020 Arizona State Convention that was planned for this October.

Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented situation. We are very disheartened that we are unable to hold this event this Fall, however, we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today.

We are excited to announce we have rescheduled our State Convention for February 23-25, 2021, live and in person! The location will still be the Phoenix Convention Center, however, we will be in the South Building

In addition to having the in-person State Convention in February, there will be virtual workshops and webinars available for members throughout the school year. Please check your emails frequently for registration information.

The next webinar is scheduled for Thursday, August 13th on the topic of Social and Emotional Learning. Please visit www.azhpe.org for registration information.

We want to thank everyone who shared their views on reimagining our State Convention this year.

Respectfully,

Toni Chilton

Arizona Health and Physical Education President
