Candidate: Lara Cox

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sport Science-teaching and School Health Education. I have been a member of AZ Health and PE since I moved to Arizona in 2007. My interest in my state organization began my Junior Year of college when I attended my first state convention in Wisconsin.  I have taught Health and PE in Arizona since the 2007-2008 school year. I taught my first nine years in the Coolidge Unified School District and then the school I was teaching at became part of the Florence Unified School district and I was with F.U.S.D. for 1 year. I am currently in my 3rd year with the Queen Creek Unified School District. It is hard to believe I am in my 13th year teaching but I guess time flies when you are having fun and enjoy what you do!

Partnership Chair   (November 2019 November 2021) Two-year term through 2021 with elections on odd-numbered years.

Candidate: Lynn Preble

I am starting my 28th year of teaching physical education. I feel I have continued to grow in the field by constantly striving to be better every day. I am not satisfied with doing things the easy way. That is a disservice to not only our students but our field as well.

I have belonged to the Arizona Health and Physical Education Association for over 10 years and I have helped lead the way to grow the organization into a well-respected organization across the country. I have served as Best Practices Chair, President, and am currently the Western District President-Elect. I truly believe in this organization and I wish to continue to help build it into a well-known and respected organization in our state. I have ideas that I think can enhance the organization and help grow our partnerships which will, in turn, grow our reputation which will only help our members to become their best.
